Not my usual thing...
starting a meme, but I like this one:
You are in a mall when zombies attack. You have:
1. One weapon
2. One song blasting on the speakers
3. One famous person to fight along side you.
1. A croquet mallet
2. Good Rats by Dropkick Murphys
3. Jet Li
I tag... you people. You know who you are.

Punchbuggyblues, I'm supposed to pick one album from each year that I've been alive, so I scanned though Wikipedia's "year in music" entries- which I know is not complete. Oh well. I'm just picking them based on what I liked best either now or at that time, not based on any particular significance to me (no compilations allowed though). My only caveat was to only use each artist once, so I didn't pick Tom Waits each and every year he had an album out....

Random crap...
I've decided today that I will collect antique cake savers. Why, you ask? I have no clue. But I will do it. It will go well with my random collection of antique cameras.
I mean really, how cool is
this? Or
this?
AWESOMELY COOL. Right? Right.
My husband is a good man.

And while there are many reasons I might say this, the reason today is this:
I woke up this morning and immediately had to go down and clean the kitchen. Why? New granite meant everything on the counters and in some drawers had to be moved into my dining room, heaped into a unholy mess upon my dining room table, spilling down onto the floor. A nightmare, pure and simple.
And I couldn't move it back until this morning, as the counters had to "set" (whatever the hell that means).
So, I went to bed knowing that before I even went to the bathroom the kitchen would need to be cleaned, and did it. It looks MUCH better now.
When I went upstairs,
the husband was sitting on the bed watching sports (SHOCKED I am, SHOCKED), with the baby.
So I irritatedly asked him to fix my lunch while I took a shower, because I was running LATE you know, since I had to clean the kitchen.
The lunch is what makes him a good man.
He gave me a brief description before I left, but I wasn't paying much attention (pre-caffeine zombie-itis).
But now I am eating lunch, and it is making me happy. Why? Because he made me tuna salad, which I like, but he made it MY way, with more mustard than mayonnaise, and a dash or two of hot sauce. And he gave me pita, rather than bread (pita is WAY better). And pickles, but not kosher pickles, no- bread & butter pickles. My FAVORITE pickles. And, (get this), he made sure each part, the tuna salad, the pita and the pickles were each in its own individual container, so nothing would get mushy and disgusting.
I also got fruit salad, yogurt and a container of milk for my coffee.
He is truly a good man. Guess I'll keep him.

My sister posted her version of
THE TRIP FROM HELL.
Bear in mind a few things: I am NOT a she-beast (shut up, all of you) and the cow was picked very deliberately (see masthead) by the ACTUAL she-beast.
