And now my Dad...
(and the funny thing is he's even goofier looking in person):
Ha Ha!
My family (Simpsons-style):
Epehemera...
You know those nasty Hostess "pies" that have enough sugar in them to kill a small wildebeest? There's a lemon one in the vending machine, and right now, its calling my name.
Check out
Gibbering Idiot, James reviewed
The Fountain, and I plan to review both
Knocked Up and
Stranger Than Fiction there soon.
I love
these. And yes,
Kevin, I am TOTALLY hinting.
My parents are in Hawaii right now (lucky S.O.B.s), and have decided to stay an extra week. I hate them.
I'm in love...
so, as I'm sure the few people who read this know, I like things that are so weird looking, they are actually cute (i.e.
Kevin). And my new love fits the bill:

this of course is not MY new car (named Milo, by the way), but its pretty much an exact duplicate. Yesterday we picked up our Chevy HHR LT, and so far, I can't say enough about it. Its one weakness appears to be in the cup holder category, but I think I will live. Otherwise it drives well, has a great sound system and a very flexible interior.
Yeah! Goodbye Hyundais!
Not to say I didn't like the Hyundais, I did, but a 2 door Accent was just not cutting it any more, and the Elantra was beginning to cost us more than it was worth. And besides, they had no character. None at all.
Milo has character.
Trying to come up with interesting things to say...
but I have nothing.
Really, I know you don't want to hear about the indigestion. Or the fact that I currently have to pee. As I did 5 minutes ago and 5 minutes after I went to the bathroom last.
So, hmmm... well, my parents are coming. Possibly for a while. How long a while? I have no idea. They might MOVE here. I may move away. Kevin has already packed.
Rora came in from the living room very excited yesterday- see, on Sunday mornings I tend to bake for the week, this time it was cranberry-orange muffins, Elvis muffins (banana muffins with chocolate and peanut butter chips) and both blueberry and chocolate chip wheat pancakes. So, if she's not into helping, I let her watch cartoons for a while. Yes, I am a bad mom. Anyway, she was very excited...
"Mama! Guess what?"
"What?"
"They have a new shampoo that stops tangles! Did you know about that?"
"Well, yeah- the shampoo I got for you stops tangles."
"But this is new!"
So, TV is evil, we all know that. I need to teach that kid to skip over the commercials.
Oh, and
Alala wants a pic of me pregnant. This is despite the fact that I am picture-phobic as it is, and I stopped weighing myself once I had gained 15 pounds (something like 3 weeks ago). So now I am elephantine and ignorant. Which is the best way to go, let me tell you. And now she wants documentation of my life as a water buffalo? Too cruel. We'll see. Maybe it will happen if Kevin lets me take a picture of him wearing Rora's pink swim goggles, which he did for most of the day yesterday. Maybe.
And here is a gratuitous pic of Rora:

And a few from Kev's footy game:
