Well, we face to the north and, real sudden like, turn left.
And that's how you get to Kentucky. If you know the quote, good for you- its one of my favorite movies (though not one of my favorite books) with one of my favorite actors. Besides, that dude is hot.
Anyway.
Here are my thoughts on Kentucky:
The drive was a lot more pleasant than I thought it would be- long winding roads with a 70 mile per hour speed limit most of the way. You can easily go 90 without noticing. It still took us 12 hours (should have been 8), but we stopped a lot.
When you are traveling with a 6 week old and a 5 year old, you stop. A lot.
We saw the two tallest porn signs I ever did see. Guess they want to make sure they can be seen over those mountains.
Right next to one of those signs was Tudor's Biscuit World. I wasn't surprised.
We also saw the following:
- Billy Bob's Pizza Wonderland (no, we did NOT stop)
- Marshall University (I actually had no idea it was in West Virginia- I thought it was in the Carolinas or Tennessee).
- A license plate that said "ICE 900". I had to wonder if it was a deliberate reference or just a happy coincidence. Its always nice to be reminded of Vonnegut though.
- The Nitro Antique District (yup, Nitro is a town).
- We never did see any blue people- but I was looking.
- Transylvania University (and Kev had to wonder if their mascot was the trannies- bad Kev).
We also noticed that when Clio is really upset, she looks like her head might explode like a giant blood blister. Would be messy.

And I took roughly 700 pics during the weekend, mostly of the Footy games.

Kev's team (the BCW Eagles) won the first two games decisively, then lost to Denver (these guys won the championship). They were one of the only teams to score more than once on Denver though- those guys were on a different level.
It didn't help that Kevin was sick all weekend either.

And Rora was so good the entire weekend, we let her choose the restaurant both nights- so, we ate at her new favorite restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen both nights. Could have been worse.
And the Hyatt Place Hotel was really nice- I would recommend them to anyone.
Okay, that's all the notes say. If I remember anything else, I'll let you know!
