Week of transition...

This week has been one of new experiences for the eldest kid. Rora started Kindergarten, riding the bus for the very first time (loves it, thank goodness), has a new sibling and there's all these new gadgets in the house (how do you explain a breast pump to a 5 year old, anyway?), etc. The other day I found that Rora was using my "leak guards" as rugs in her Barbie doll house (quite the avant-garde decorating sense, huh?). And this morning she asked if I loved the new baby more than her (cue heartbreak).

Anyway, it didn't take much to convince her that was not so, but it must be hard on the kid. She's had us on her own for 5.5 years now, so this is quite the change. Hopefully we'll be able to handle this without emotionally scarring both of them. Hah! What are the odds?!

I'm in for $50 on "Both kids will be in therapy before they are in training bras".

You'll be in therapy before they will, siblings always collaborate in driving their mother insane.
