An update....
For some reason, my co-worker has a banana in his ear. Don't ask.Recently, I've been driving into work every day with my husband (about an hour commute on a good day), and no, I haven't killed him yet. It IS different though. On my own, I usually listen to NPR, or audiobooks, music, whatever. He prefers to listen to ESPN radio (despite the fact that it comes in horribly- more static than words- I hate it). So, to compromise, we actually have discussions. Yes, I know its incredible, but we talk. Usually about utter nonsense.
This morning, he was comparing the Argonauts to Pirates, stating his opinion that the Argonauts themselves were just pirates, and it wasn't fair that they are thought of so highly, while pirates are vilified. I always try to play Devils' Advocate ('cause its fun), so I said there was a huge difference between the two, as the Argonauts had been sent by a God, and herefore, they were on "a mission from God."
Which lead us to discussing the Blues Brothers being cast as Jason and his First Mate on the Argo. There was some argument as to whether John Belushi or Dan Akroyd was to be Jason, but the end result was the same: I'll never think of Jason and the Argonauts again without imagining them in pork-pie hats and sunglasses.
I'm going to an ACTUAL play this Thursday (thank you to my brother-in-law for babysitting)- we'll be seeing Cabaret at Arena Stage and going out to dinner- I'll let you know how it is. I haven't been to a live performance that wasn't a concert since we saw The Blue Man Group in Boston, and that was a LONG time ago.
Sweet Potato pie is heresy, and should NEVER have been created.
We have decided to go with a Nola theme for Thanksgiving, but I'm having trouble finding good veggie recipes- any suggestions?
On that Rora front, she can now write her name with no help from us whatsoever, and her new favorite phrase is "What the HECK?". Could be worse, that's my motto.

I should think Belushi would be the obvious choice for Jason, as he was clearly the leader, as Aykroyd was clearly the sidekick. Besides, then for Medea you have Carrie Fisher with a grenade launcher. How perfect is that?
